Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! I went out to a party on friday so tonight I'm just gonna hang out at home and eat candy. I'm happy to say most of the snow melted away today so I can hopefully get in some more posts before I get snowed in and can't go anywhere neat to take pictures.

I bought this mask in a small town thrift store for $5! It hangs on my wall usually and for halloween I thought I would make a dress to go with it. While I didn't really make the whole dress, I added the purple skirt and black lace shirt to an already made dress. I sewed a collar and lace ruffles to pull it all together.

I took some extra shifts this week so I may not be able to post as much as I'd like!

Flock of Birds

I liked my little bow yesterday so much that I recreated it. I should rename the blog Bows and Sheds! I was going to travel to some fields with hay bales in it today but I got lazy. I'd rather walk somewhere then drive. I hate driving! Probably because living in the country and working in the city wastes so much time driving. I wish I lived somewhere where it was nice all year and I could just ride one of those hipster bikes around. That would be perfect...

Stuck on a Cloud

I'll admit it...this top is actually a maternity blouse I found at a rummage sale. I was attracted to the colours and the attached necktie. I haven't had time to take out the side seams and make it smaller. If it's not belted or under something it really does make you look pregnant...not exactly a look I'm going for!

Lets just ignore the wet marks on my calves... I have to wear my rubber boots to get to this spot and snow got in there. One thing lead to another and this was the result. My Delightfully Tacky tote also makes an appearance. It is quite handy to carry my camera and a change of shoes in across the fields because it's so light. It was pretty foggy today and seems like it isn't going anywhere, I'm stuck in a white cloud!

I took my halloween outfit pictures this morning, so I'm excited to put them up Sunday!

Leather and Lace

I spent the day in the city today. Lunch with one of my school friends. He always wears a leather jacket so I thought we could match today but mine is faux (I'm not made of money!!!) I was gonna wear a skirt since I am anti-jeans when I'm not at work but i stuck my head outside and it was just too chilly! I gave into the jeans...oh well. I stuck my toes in the snow before I ran back inside, then I had to put my shoes in the dryer because they were soaked when I threw my snowy feet back into them, I clearly didn't think that through.

Little Followers

I couldn't decide on an outfit today, I changed numerous times and finally went with this. It was pretty chilly for no tights but I've been wearing them alot so I thought I'd mix it up a bit. I don't have that big of a tights collection though I wish I did. I couldn't shake my two kittens today. They followed me everywhere, thankfully their little legs are slow through the snow so they couldn't invade every shot! My mom named them Barney and Ted Mosby, she's jumping on the HIMYM bandwagon a little late.  I realized today that I hang out with animals more then people...

A White Blanket

Well it happened. I woke up this morning to a light dusting of snow. :(! I hope it climbs above zero tomorrow so it will go away. It is impossible to make it to halloween without snow here. I remember being little and picking out a great costume to wear for halloween and then trying to squeeze it over a snowsuit the day of.

My brother called today and asked me to pick him up from the bus depot while I was mid-post. Rude! haha. We fought the whole way home about who's music to play. I don't mind his music but it's the principle! Some things will never change I guess.

If this skirt looks short it's cause it's my moms and she is 5' while I am 5'4". I love it though so I managed to squeeze into it for my snowy adventure. You'll probably be seeing these boots alot throughout the winter, not only are they super comfy but they were made in Canada which means fully lined in the softest flannel!

Canadian Tuxedo

So this is a mini sunday post. I'm working today so on come the jeans! I kinda just wanted to show off a freshly painted suitcase! I love spray paint. It's pretty simple paint job but reminds me of a bowling ball bag! I had to cut this mini shoot even shorter because I did it in my yard...which means being accosted by a multitude of animals. When you live in the country animals like to wander to house and not leave! So while I was attempting to take pictures there were cats wandering in view, dogs trying to sit on me, and kittens climbing the tripod! I had to give up...

And a Pistol it Seems

One of my best friends, Jess, got married at the beginning of September. We just got to look at some of the pictures and they are too pretty not to share.

First of all, I'm second from the left above and look at that air!! I had no idea I could jump that high! haha!

We had an awesome photographer; Janine Sept (all these photos are by her) and we had tons of fun! I love how vintage inspired the whole wedding was and her dress was gorgeous, I especially loved the little jacket! Plus since I started this blog its been going downhill fast with the weather and here you can see that it's actually nice out sometimes. I'm also wearing contacts, which I don't do very often!

This the song they had their first dance to. That first line is so Jess.
