Door 21

Kudos to you bloggers who take indoor photos. The amount of fiddling with the settings is out of control! By the time I had a moment to take photos this weekend the sun had gone down. Thus I tried the indoor photo.
For those of you who don't know I have to wear a uniform to work. A gross blue shirt and steel toed boots. I have to wear pants so it's jeans...every...single...day. Needless to say this is why I usually make the most of my days off with dresses or skirts. This outfit is what I am wearing to work today. When I arrive I will have to change my boots and shirt so essentially I dress up for my drive to and from! Oh well. This is part of the reason why I don't really want to do the 30 for 30 challenge. I love the idea and would love to do it one day but at this point I really look forward to my days off so I can play dress up...

jacket / shirt / purse - thrifed
jeans - gap

  1. i really really reeeeeally love those boots.

i am HORRIBLE at taking indoor pictures..
the husband works so much i usually can only get 1 or 2 sets of outfit pictures a week.
but i would rather wait for his off day than try to take them indoors by myself. bleh. :)
but with that said, these are really wonderful. <3
have a wonderful week my love!!!

  2. I haaate taking indoor pictures at my house, they're no good backdrops and the lighting is horrible, because the house was built like 65 years ago!
I looove your hair braided like this! It's so pretty, and that is a very cute purse!

  3. I've never taken indoor pictures and don't really plan on it ;) I'd rather skip a shoot than try to do it- I'm just not talented enough with my camera to figure out all the settings! Nonetheless, yours are very very pretty and I adore your braid and I'm DROOLING over your boots!

  4. Eek wearing a uniform would suck. I admire the fact that you still dress up even though you have to change though! I adore your shoes, & the way you've braided your hair. Your indoor shots are actually quite good. I suck at taking indoor photos. It's SO HARD.

  6. I don't know all the work that went behind it, but the indoor photos look great!
I love the hair and the boots. And, I like seeing a different side of you. We don't get to see jeans wearing Shy. It opens up a little bit more about you.

  12. I agree! I hate having to take indoor photos- I'm still learning about settings and it always looks like a 5 yr old took some crappy shots when they're inside. blah! But your's, of course (you photo wizard!), look awesome and all cool/retro.
I love your hair too- so pretty! And those boots are killing me! xx

  13. This is a very cute to and from work outfit. I worked in a warehouse for a bit and had the same sort of uniform. Weekends were heaven. :)
