Weekenders - Matou en Peluche

Here are some pretty Sunday pictures just for you. I really enjoy the art deco style of them. I didn't really embrace art deco until I took a History class on architecture and it might be one of my favourites now. Plus, who doesn't love a dachshund in a top hat?! They are all done by Sam Battersby of Matou en Peluche. There is an etsy store, blog, and website all full of beautiful posters, cards, and prints. I wish I had more wall space!

Since I got such a nice response from my last tutorial I have another one lined up for tomorrow. Don't worry it's not so long! Just a little trick I use for blurring photos. Have a good rest of weekend!

Weekenders - The Brother

All work and no blog, makes Shy a sad girl. Last weekend I decided I should have pretty artwork kind of weekend posts since I never have time to get in some pictures. Well... I have been too busy to really snoop around the web finding some I like and getting permission from the owners. So I had nothing to post. Oh boy! Am I a bad blogger or what!? Not only that, but I haven't done the tutorial I was planning AND I haven't got to visit any of your lovely blogs! So I am collectively thanking everyone for visiting and I will be catching up soon. Promise.

So you maybe wondering: if I didn't have time to find artwork what am I posting? I decided I could use my older brothers art as it was readily accessible and it is pretty good. He is a tattoo artist so obviously his art is very tattoo-ish. I'm not sure what all of these are done in but I think it's pencil crayons, ink, and watercolour, markers...little bit of everything I guess. Anyway his names Forrest and here's his facebook page.

Weekenders - Amber Alexander

Since I don't usually have time to get outfit posts out on the weekend I thought I could break up my usual posts with some beautiful artwork. Although in recent years I haven't felt very inspired to draw or paint, I used to! I should start again and I've tried but I want my skills to be up to where they were when I slowed down on the artwork and they just arn't. If you don't use it, you lose it! And I've lost it. I'm too impatient right now to start building up my skills again. Anyways...

I found these on etsy by Amber Alexander. I love watercolours and I love how you see real personality in all her beautiful paintings. It really brings them to life for me! Some even have a little story around them that I thought was super cute. Have a good sunday night everyone!

You can find these pretty pictures here.
