Hippy Dippy

I'm not sure I'm sold on the maxi-dress thing. I got this one this morning (50% off at value village today) and the fit and pattern are good but that long length still gets me. I might hem it. I thought I'd take some pictures first; don't want to rush into such commitment yet. I had a much more majestic area planned to take these photos but on my way I was attacked my mosquitos the size of minivans. I had to run home and spray myself down then attempt to go out again. I didn't make it as far... backyard will have to do.

This weeks been a weird week. Lots of me questioning what I want to do with my life, love, career, everything. Don't worry, I wont get all deep on you... Any words of wisdom to pass along??

Over-Exposure

I'm gonna get all negative up in here for a moment. Things I don't like about wearing jean shorts: attention drawn to the thigh region, the way they make my butt look, and.... I generally don't look good in them ok! Things I don't like about wearing this shirt: mainly just the awkward length otherwise I love the shirt. Well I have found a use for both! The awkward length of the shirt covers up all the things I dislike about jean shorts! Win Win.... Way too over-exposed photos.... Lose Lose

Laundry Day

Last post I showed you my current favourite summer dress. Well this is my current favourite summer skirt. I've been wearing variations of this outfit for weeks now. It's been my usual high waisted skirt with a belt but I felt like I need to let go of my belts a little bit this time. I shouldn't be so attached to them. I tried the untucked shirt but I feel a bit boxy that way. I need a waist. Luckily I looked at Liebemarlene this morning and copied her shirt a bit....

A Wonderful Friendship

I've been working a TON lately in order to have four days off next week. Needless to say I wont be able to get out and get some more pictures till then. I thought I'd grab a few real quick before work today. This dress may just be my new favourite summer dress. So simple and light, has every colour you need in it, and I can imagine wearing it in many different ways. It's the beginning of a wonderful friendship. I wish I could stay in it all day but alas I have to put on the ol' work uniform and get going...

Meet Huxley

This post is a little photo intense because it's the first time I've been able to meander over to the forest across the field since who knows when. Thus leading to a lot of photo-taking...I may have filled the memory card. I also got my new Huxley glasses in the mail from Warby Parker and I love them! This may be the start of a bad (or good) addiction.

On Friday I attended a little Edmonton blogger meet-up. I don't think I'm that socially awkward but I don't know what to say so I say nothing... especially to people I don't know. I don't find it awkward just listening and hopefully no one else did. I have met Jenna before and I'm glad she came because we spent the majority of the time laughing about inappropriate things. It was fun though despite my shyness. No pun intended.
