I haven't made a little movie in quite awhile so I took advantage of actually having a Saturday off (GASP!) to make one! It stars my former maxi dress that I hemmed this week. I don't regret it at all! I absolutely love it knee length and I have a feeling I'll be wearing it all summer long. I also cant get over our apple tree! The blossoms are out of control. I hope you like my little movie; I seriously need to find a partner in crime because it is tough to make one of yourself by yourself!

My Weekend:

Annoyingly, someone/thing smashed a window in my house last night. What worries me more is that at no point did I hear it while I was sleeping!? I did hear my dogs (who were inside with me) barking up a storm but they do that if a deer walks across the field or a bird is eating from the feeder or a blade of grass blows the wrong way in the wind so I paid no attention and went back to sleep only to find this in the morning. Kinda creepy. On a less weird note: I got a postcard from Michal and I got to sleep in with my doggie (and protector) this weekend.

Day to Day

I've actually been having a fun time trying to style up my jeans more for my day to day wear to work. Since it was a bit of a chilly start to my day off I thought I'd show you a going to work outfit. Of course once I get there I have to change my shirt and shoes but I can be stylish for my car! These shoes were MADE for my feet. They are the comfiest shoes I have ever worn. Whoever owned these before me is my foot doppleganger because they are seriously molded to the shape of my foot. My mom said the brothers would make fun of me for wearing them... good thing there opinions are easily ignored!

My Weekend:

My weekend has been mostly working but I managed to take in some of the blooming trees. The mayday smells especially delicious. I know I have been lacking in the commenting back department but I find it hard to justify staying inside on the computer when I've spent October - April cooped up. After staying inside all day at work I just want to lay/walk/handstand/anything outside! I totally appreciate your visits and comments and I am trying to squeeze in all my favourite blogs!

MBBASOSIWWI

So I'm gonna rename the blog "My brown belt and some other stuff I wear with it" or "MBBASOSIWWI" for short. It just matches everything! I know its repetitive.

I was attacked again when I left my house. Swarms of mosquitos are making it very difficult for pictures. I'd Deep Woods myself but then my clothes smell so gross. I guess I'm gonna start sprayin me down if I ever want to take pictures further then the yard anytime soon. I'm even gonna have to just for the front yard!! I hate those things with a passion. I think I'm gonna make some bat houses to hang around the yard in hopes that they will stay and eat up all my horrible little friends. I am also making some large vegetable boxes to today. I'm trying to get more into gardening. I like it but I've found I'm not very good at it. After the loooong winter I really just want any excuse to get outside.

Also, Thanks for the words of wisdom in my last post! It's kinda comforting to know you're in the same boat with a lot of people!

Hippy Dippy

I'm not sure I'm sold on the maxi-dress thing. I got this one this morning (50% off at value village today) and the fit and pattern are good but that long length still gets me. I might hem it. I thought I'd take some pictures first; don't want to rush into such commitment yet. I had a much more majestic area planned to take these photos but on my way I was attacked my mosquitos the size of minivans. I had to run home and spray myself down then attempt to go out again. I didn't make it as far... backyard will have to do.

This weeks been a weird week. Lots of me questioning what I want to do with my life, love, career, everything. Don't worry, I wont get all deep on you... Any words of wisdom to pass along??

Over-Exposure

I'm gonna get all negative up in here for a moment. Things I don't like about wearing jean shorts: attention drawn to the thigh region, the way they make my butt look, and.... I generally don't look good in them ok! Things I don't like about wearing this shirt: mainly just the awkward length otherwise I love the shirt. Well I have found a use for both! The awkward length of the shirt covers up all the things I dislike about jean shorts! Win Win.... Way too over-exposed photos.... Lose Lose

Laundry Day

Last post I showed you my current favourite summer dress. Well this is my current favourite summer skirt. I've been wearing variations of this outfit for weeks now. It's been my usual high waisted skirt with a belt but I felt like I need to let go of my belts a little bit this time. I shouldn't be so attached to them. I tried the untucked shirt but I feel a bit boxy that way. I need a waist. Luckily I looked at Liebemarlene this morning and copied her shirt a bit....
